Just this year the master bath was updated and a new 8’ tall front door and sidelights added to the home.

Design Execution

The goal is to make every room stand out, to maximize the use of natural elements, and to utilize quality, long lasting products. For example, every room has large scale baseboard, and window & door trim. Most rooms have a ceiling feature, whether cathedral, coffered, or crown molding. The floors are red oak (some in a herringbone pattern), porcelain tile, stone tile, mahogany, and Karistan patterned carpet.

Light

The home is bright with natural light throughout. With 150 windows and the exterior doors the view from every one has an interesting feature, whether the surrounding flower beds and large landscaped yard, the neighboring pond, or the pastoral countryside.

Nearly all the windows were replaced in 2015 with Marvin Ultimate triple pane Low-E glass units.

There are two high efficiency furnace/AC units. One unit is zoned for the first floor, the other for the upstairs bedrooms. Each unit has two zones. Fuel is LNG (propane).

There are two hot water heaters.

There are three fireplaces, a gas fireplace in the family room, and wood burning in the living and three season rooms.
