Main Floor

Great Room

Open to the kitchen the room is warm and comfortable and full of natural light.

There is a gas fireplace, and the large format porcelain tile and common color pallet harmoniously connect the room to the kitchen and breakfast room.

Best of all is the stone chimney and the 17’ tall cathedral ceiling, which speak for themselves.

Kitchen

The chef’s kitchen was created in 2017, and is fitted with Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances, Crown Point cabinetry in painted maple and natural walnut, Calacata quartzite countertops, and a large format porcelain tile floor.

Feature cabinets frame the family room entry.

Kitchen

Looking east, a broad elliptical arch spans the width of the space providing a unique transition to the adjoining breakfast and mud rooms.

Breakfast Room

Located in a turreted southeast corner where the morning light welcomes you every day. The curved leatherette banquette seating is fitted into the space and a built-in buffet cabinet lines the opposite wall. The space opens directly onto the kitchen under a large arch.

Dining Room

Sized to comfortably seat ten, the dining room has a beautiful herringbone oak floor, trimmed in walnut, cherry, and mahogany, an oversized crown molding, and large bay windows that overlook the flower gardens and front yard. The room can be entered from the stair hall or directly from the kitchen.

Living Room

Three sets of windows line the west wall along the front porch. On the opposite side, sliding doors open into the library. The doorway to the right opens onto the Three Season Porch.

Directly ahead, is a natural fireplace framed by the curved mantle detailed with leaf carvings, leaded glass doors, and cabinet space below.

Library

Well-sized with a 11’ coffered ceiling, oak and glass pocket doors, a 16’ wide book case, a sofa nook, and bay windows that view the bluestone patio.

Main Stair

Custom balusters, repeating in three spiral patterns evoke the stairways of grand old homes. Wainscoting lines the stair and continues into the hall above. At the landing, there is a built-in window seat under the oval window, whose shape is repeated in a coffered oval in the ceiling above.

Super Pantry

A large space that’s also the prep kitchen for summertime BBQ’s and just a step away from the patio.

There is a cathedral ceiling, french style windows, and a common design pallet with the kitchen.

The room is a 2017 addition; its maple cabinets are repurposed from the original kitchen and painted to match.

The Rohl sink, Bosch dishwasher, and Sub-Zero under cabinet refrigeration are work horses of this space.

Powder Room

Tucked under a staircase, the cozy space is brightened by Anne Sacks diamond and dot tiles, in a crackle cream finish. The floating vanity is high-polish walnut. The fixtures are by Toto.

Three Season Porch

The north side of the porch was enclosed to create a wonderfully comfortable space away from the activities in the rest of the house, and the space usually stays cool without air conditioning, even on the warmest of days.

The long outside wall was created with a lovely bend of windows that makes the view panoramic. The ends of the room are enclosed with french doors that open up to the front porch and patio.

The room’s long length allows for ample space for seating around the natural fireplace on one side, and casual dinning on the other.

Back Stairway

The house has second stairway to the second floor! This one is casual and fun with a barrel vault ceiling, an iron railing, a twisting stair, three cute windows near the ceiling and a round one that looks over the pantry.

Mud Room

A functionally designed space with walnut highlights in the bench, passage door to the kitchen, and wainscoting (not shown)

Breezeway

Connecting the Garage to the living space, the Breezeway is framed on opposite ends with a palladium window over a set of french doors, also creating a passage from the rear entry directly onto the patio.

Above, the nearly 10’ ceiling is finished in beaded planks and framed with a crown.

Inside is a large built-in cabinet suspended over the floor, and adequate space for a bench or long table.

Under the Breezeway is a passage from the garage to the basement. It is enclosed in concrete on three sides, floor, and ceiling. The space is used for cold storage and is the “safe room” during the occasional emergency weather alerts.
